I was recently in a car accident where my car was struck from behind. im not sure what steps to take?

I was pulling into the daycare center where I normally pick up my kids. I had my blinker on and pretty sure my brake lights also do to the road being so narrow u almost have to come to a complete stop to turn when all of a sudden an suv hit my car, he struck so hard that my keys actually flew out of the ignition I was taken to the hospital as I had whiplash so they needed to confirm with xrays that I was okay. Everything came back good I was released with muscle relaxers and now have no car. I submitted my claim to my insurance and now waiting for a response from them to see what the next step would be.. I never been in an accident so im not sure what l else to do to make sure that my car gets fixed and I have something to go to work in and wanted some opinions if anyone can help please I would appreciate.
