Polaroid film at Airport?

I have an Instax fujifilm 7s Polaroid camera with iso 800. I'm getting on an airplane today and I know that the xray can damage my film. They say that I should give my package of undeveloped film to be hand checked but what about my camera? I have film in there as well and are they going to open up my camera? I'm scared that if they open up my camera, that will also ruin my film inside. What should I do? Any suggestion or experiences?
