Whats wrong with my tooth! please help asap! Dentists?

For the past couple of months my 2nd to last molar has been bugging me but deep down in the bone not the actual tooth. In between my cheek and gums right where it hurts there is a big hard bump (feels like bone). I have one on the other side but its not nearly as big. It aches ocassionally but it has been constant the last few days and it feels worse when speaking ect.I went to the dentist and got xrays and my densit said "i think it might have a crack" but didnt say if it did or not and said he wont know what it is till he gets into it!. The problem is, im going on vacation in 2 weeks and REALLY want to get this taken care of without being in pain on my vacation, what do you think it is?
