Suffering a dry socket, and doctor wants to cut me open again! HELP!!!?

I would want my surgeon to know what he was cutting me open for as well. I think it would be worth a second opinion of what's going on. Have another dentist take an x-ray to see if he could find a reason for what is going on. Just a second opinion at this time could help with your fears and questions. It would assure you he's doing all he can or that you should be running from him. I did that with a surgeon who worked on me and had the problem come back and I didn't like what his way of fixing it was to be so I consulted another surgeon a week before I was to have the surgery and he redid the surgery and it was fine. Hope you can find the same type of resolution.
