10 week old rott/shepherd/lab licking my face/bit me/dropped her on accident sprained/broken arm/wrist?7daysag?

My puppy fell from my face height (about 5'5") and she yelped when she fell and started crying. She hasn't used her front left paw for 6 days now. However, we can touch her nails, all her bones and all her paw without her yelping at all. My husband thinks it's a sprain. I have her up on shots, and have gotten estimates for xrays. I started an online fundraiser to help us get her to the vet (going through VERY hard times) and I was wondering... does anybody know the main difference on how to tell if it's a sprain or a break? I think she fell on her paw bend underneath her- so the likelihood of her spraining and not breaking is higher?
